This is a stunner! We have two jeweled swords, crossed over an enameled shield; a glittering snake is entwined between the swords, with a glittering red eye. The different elements are layered realistically and the stones have remarkable sparkle. It's easy to imagine this brooch worn on a sash at a royal banquet!
